Axis 3 focuses on temporal, past, current and future trajectories. These evolution trajectories concern multiple and evolving territorial dimensions in connection with:
(1) agricultural activities: type of agriculture, type of farm, cropping systems, plots, land use
(2) social dynamics: individual and network functioning of farmers, links between farmers and consulting companies
(3) management facilities: dams, hill lakes, water transfers, public and private irrigation
(4) the physical environment: climate, topography, plant cover, erosion/sedimentation.
The study of these evolutionary trajectories is based on the consideration of these dimensions, individually or in combination. In terms of evolution, we consider changes relating to compositions (e.g., emergence of new elements such as cultures) or to configurations (e.g., spatial rearrangements for existing elements, temporal rearrangements during crop and multi-year cycles).
The time windows are:
1940-2010 for past situations, see further back, according to available archives
2010-2030 for current situations, in connection with the inertia of non-rupture systems
2030-2100 for future situations, in connection with economic and climate projections
